Attorney General Merrick Garland has overseen a renegade Department of Justice.

And the so-called mainstream media have defended him every step of the way.

But Chuck Todd left Garland’s jaw on the floor with one sentence.

Special Counsel John Durham exposed serious malfeasance in the FBI in his report on the origins of Crossfire Hurricane, the genesis of Russiagate.

The Democrat Media Complex tried to slough off Durham’s report as a nothing-burger, but that narrative is not holding, especially after The Washington Post wrote a scathing piece outlining the FBI’s abuse of mass surveillance.

Now NBC’s Chuck Todd is echoing concerns about the out-of-control FBI.

Todd said on Meet the Press, “This is not an FBI that should feel good about what Durham discovered…Because at a minimum, this issue of confirmation bias goes to the heart of how James Comey seemed to worry so much about what the perception of the FBI was that he — whether it was overdid or underdid Hillary stuff, and then overdid or underdid Trump stuff.”

Todd’s pivot on the Durham Report is a signal that the establishment is desperate to burnish the image of the federal police now that Republicans are in the crosshairs as so-called domestic terrorists.

If nobody believes in the legitimacy of the FBI, then the establishment is in big trouble.

Todd added, “Trust in the FBI is eroding left and right…Feels like we’re in the moment that we need a real Church Committee. This is a moment like when the J. Edgar Hoover FBI clearly was no longer helping the American people. There was a moment. This feels like we might be in one of those moments.”

The Church Committee in the Senate and the Pike Committee in the House investigated misconduct by the FBI and the CIA in response to COINTELPRO, which carried out psychological operations on the American people through propaganda and subversion of activist groups on both the Left and the Right.

The FBI attempted to dampen the Durham Report by claiming that the bureau has already put in place reforms that addressed Durham’s shocking claims.

With Section 702 surveillance under scrutiny and due to expire at the end of the year, the Deep State is scrambling to stop Americans from checking its power.

The Democrat Media Complex is working overtime to protect the Biden administration.

But a leading network host just exposed the media’s role as Democrat political handlers.

Because a top Democrat just sent Chuck Todd scrambling after he called out the big Biden border failure.

Joe Biden’s approval rating is stuck in the mud, and one reason why is his terrible handling of the crisis on the southern border.

On day one of his Presidency, Biden signed executive orders that reversed Donald Trump’s effective border policies.

Now the chickens have come home to roost.

Illegal immigration has reached record highs under Biden, with no end in sight, and even Democrats are fed up.

That has posed a big problem for Democrat politicians and their media allies because the D.C. establishment wants illegal immigration even though most voters of both parties do not.

NBC’s Chuck Todd tried to walk that tightrope and failed by attempting to pawn off the immigration problem on Republicans.

During a Meet the Press segment, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy caught Todd off guard when he dinged his own party for not passing a clean immigration bill.

Todd went into panic mode, trying to get the Connecticut Democrat back on the party line.

“Republicans have dirtier hands” [on the border issue],” Todd shot back.

He said, “I understand what you’re saying about the preparation for this moment, but politically, other than introducing a bill on day one he never talked about it. He didn’t lean his shoulder in, build back better was the focus, everything else was the focus, and look the Republicans have dirtier hands.”

That is an insane contention for a supposedly objective journalist to make.

Donald Trump ran on securing the border, but Democrats ferociously blocked him every step of the way.

The media excoriated him, open borders organizations sued him, activist judges blocked him, and NGOs defied him.

To suggest that Republicans have not acted on border security is preposterous.

In the eyes of the Democrats, if they don’t get everything they want, Republicans are to blame.

Chuck Todd exposed himself in reminding the Democrat Senator of just who they want Americans to blame.

Murphy got the hint.

“Republicans have had multiple opportunities to come to the table and pass immigration reform that would fix the problem at the border. And my belief is that while you have a small group of Republicans who legitimately want to engage, the majority of that party delights at chaos at the border. You saw some of my colleagues on Tuesday. As soon as votes were done, rushed down to the border to take smiling photographs with the border patrol, essentially celebrating the fact that there was chaos. Because they believe that there’s political gain to be had. So I think Americans know that it’s Republicans, not Democrats that have been sitting on the outside when it comes to fixing our broken immigration system,” Murphy replied.

The Democrats wish that were true, but Biden’s approval ratings suggest otherwise.

The American people know good and well that Democrats have become the party of open borders; some Democrats—such as failed presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke—even called for the removal of existing border walls.

Democrats can point the finger all they want, but there are too many receipts out there undercutting their propaganda on border security.

What’s more, Chuck Todd had to expose himself in the role that establishment media journalists refuse to admit is theirs – acting as a handler to ensure Democrat politicians stay on message. 

And that shows the establishment may be forced to recognize that the American people are getting fed up with the agenda pushed by the elite’s mouthpieces in the corporate-controlled media.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson and CNN host Don Lemon were both fired out of the blue on the same day.

Another media ouster that went unnoticed was the sudden exit of NBC CEO Jeff Shell.

Shell stepped down after a sexual harassment complaint filed by CNBC host Hadley Gamble.

Now Gamble is parting ways with CNBC after the Shell imbroglio.

The network said in a statement, “CNBC today announced that Hadley Gamble, Anchor and Senior International Correspondent, is leaving the company. Gamble has been a distinguished journalist for more than a decade for CNBC, undertaking highly visible and challenging assignments, and developing deep expertise in the Middle East and beyond. Her initiative and dive have secured valuable interviews with several world political leaders. We wish her every success in her future endeavors.”

In her complaint, Gamble claimed that Shell had pursued her for years, and she finally relented and began an affair with him because it “became clear to her that rebutting his advances would probably damage her career.”

A report from the New York Post claimed that Gamble only came forward with the complaint because her contract was about to lapse, and CNBC was not going to renew it.

Perhaps in retaliation for the complaint, a 2020 video of Gamble in a Turkish hotel room with billionaire Tom Barrack surfaced.

Gamble had interviewed Barrack, which drew her journalistic ethics into question.

At the time of his departure, Shell wrote in a statement, “Today is my last day as CEO of NBCUniversal. I had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company, which I deeply regret. I’m truly sorry I let my Comcast and NBCUniversal colleagues down, they are the most talented people in the business and the opportunity to work with them the last 19 years has been a privilege.”

The whole sordid affair exposes the corrupt underbelly by the so-called mainstream media.

These are the institutions that seek to destroy people who challenge the powerful.

In reality, the people behind the media companies are some of the most dissolute and scandalous.
