Elon Musk just schooled the New York Times—and what he did will leave you gobsmacked
Elon Musk didn’t become the world’s richest man by being bad at handling money.
But when he got involved with a Twitter collection, issue things escalated quickly.
And what he did will leave you gobsmacked.
When Elon Musk bought social media giant Twitter on a whim last year, he took a massive hit to his net worth.
Soon after gaining control of the company, he warned employees the business was bleeding a stunning $4 million a day.
He quickly started cleaning house and came up with a subscription system to bring in consistent revenue while creating an official protocol for individuals and businesses to obtain the coveted “verified” blue check on their Twitter accounts.
Amid accusations that Twitter employees were secretly pocketing upwards of $15,000 to hand out the verified blue check, Musk complained that it had become a “lord-and-peasant” system on the platform.
He informed individuals that they would need to join his $8 per month subscription service in order to keep their verified status, while organizations would have to pay $1,000 per month to keep their verified status.
Of course, the leftists running the New York Times couldn’t even contemplate giving a dime to a man who announced that he was leaving the Democrat Party and even had the audacity to encourage people to vote Republican ahead of the Midterm elections last year.
Still, Musk couldn’t resist razing them for refusing to play along.
“The real tragedy of @NYTimes is that their propaganda isn’t even interesting,” Musk wrote in a Tweet shortly after the news publication had its blue check pulled.
“Also, their feed is the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea. It’s unreadable. They would have far more real followers if they only posted their top articles,” he added.
He also made fun of the Times for announcing that it would refuse to pay a subscription when the paper itself depends on the subscription model for revenue.
“NY Times is being incredible hypocritical here, as they are super aggressive about forcing everyone to pay *their* subscription,” Musk noted.
No doubt, the publication with 55 million followers on Twitter alone could afford to pay for Twitter’s services if they could stand supporting a “free speech abolitionist” like Elon Musk.
But it appears the billionaire had more fun mocking them than he would have had taking their money.

Democrats’ “Paper of Record” just got a scary new sugar daddy
The New York Times is revered by leftist elites.
Now a massive investor thinks that’s a growing market.
Because Democrats’ “Paper of Record” just got a scary new sugar daddy.
The Big Tech grip in information continues to tighten.
Now, the world’s most dominant search engine just bailed out the world’s biggest newspaper.
And the pile of cash Google is forking over to the New York Times is truly astonishing.
The supposedly independent corporate-controlled media has been haranguing Congress for the past couple of years, trying to force Big Tech companies to funnel money into their coffers.
Even though the atrocious “Journalism Competition and Preservation Act” (which is anything but what its title claims) is likely to stall out with the GOP controlling the House of Representatives, Google couldn’t pass up the opportunity to implement a bad idea voluntarily.
Incredibly, information just came out that the tech giant has committed to paying the New York Times $100,000 million dollars over the next three years.
Ironically, the New York Times rakes in more money in gross revenue ($2.3 billion) than the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the 26 smallest countries in the world.
But that’s a drop in the bucket compared to Alphabet Inc., which just reported $284.61 billion in revenue between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023. (For comparison, that’s more than the GDP of a slew of countries including Chile, Finland, and Egypt.)
While completely unnecessary, Google’s big spending with the Ochs-Sulzberger dynasty’s crown jewel is sure to increase the Big Tech company’s influence in the information business.
Increasingly, prominent Silicon Valley figures have been snapping up legacy media outlets.
Alphabet Inc. owns both Google and YouTube—the two biggest search engines in the world.
The third biggest search engine is Jeff Bezo’s Amazon Marketplace.
For his part, Bezo already snatched up the Washington Post.
Meanwhile, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has its fingers all over all kinds of media outlets providing funding for supposed “journalism” all over the world.
No doubt Google’s parent company was feeling left out when it came to being a big player in the legacy news world.
But dropping a few hundred million here and there should make all the difference when it comes to getting the legacy media in its back pocket.
The New York Times isn’t the only outlet benefitting from Google’s generosity.
Fox News’ parent company, News Corp, has already inked a similar deal with the tech giant, according to the Wall Street Journal (also owned by News Corp).

Networks scramble to hide the truth about what happened to Alvin Bragg’s victims
The biggest news about legacy networks has to do with what they’re not covering.
These days they’re trying to keep all eyes off what’s going down in the Big Apple.
And that means networks are scrambling to hide the truth about what happened to Alvin Bragg’s victims.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg managed to capture national attention when he slapped former President Donald Trump—and current presidential candidate—with 32 felony charges.
But in the days following that infamous mug shot moment, Bragg’s case has been falling apart fast.
Considering that Bragg’s case basically rests on the idea that Trump somehow defrauded himself with some accounting tricks, it’s become abundantly apparent that the whole thing is nothing more than a political stunt.
The situation is especially ironic considering that Bragg has a history of letting criminals get away with almost anything.
In fact, when Trump’s indictment was announced, the mother of a slain veteran lost it.
Madeline Brame’s son survived a war zone only to die a horrific death at the hands of NYC thugs back in 2018.
Soon after he landed in office, Bragg dropped the murder and gang assault indictments against two of the men involved in her son’s murder.
She is understandably infuriated by the fact that some of her son’s killers are allowed to run free even as Bragg pours his attention into political games to take out Trump.
It didn’t take long for the GOP-led House to start questioning Bragg’s apparent heavy-handed interference in a presidential campaign.
When the House Judiciary committee decided to dig into the matter by holding a “field” hearing in NYC, journalists for the legacy news networks quickly closed ranks to keep any news that would make Democrats look bad off the air.
ABC, CBS, and NBC—networks which followed every move made by Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Special Committee with bated breath—all managed to find nonsense stories to fill their newscasts rather than report the real news.
Gossipy chat about Netflix’s “Love is Blind” and retailer David’s Bridal going out of business was apparently far more interesting than revealing that Democrats aggressively heckled victims who were called to testify about their treatment by Alvin Bragg’s office.
The hecklers in the crowd accused witnesses—who were there because they were victims of violent crime—of being “props.”
During the event they actually completely disrupted the proceedings.
At one point an audience member called, “Oh, knock it off. Come on! Come on!”
Later on someone in the audience yelled, “You have politicized this entire event, you’re a scumbag!”
According to Fox News’ Pete Hegseth, that reaction likely comes as no surprise to the GOP Representatives who organized the hearing.
“Jordan may have held the hearing in New York because Bragg won’t cooperate in the committee’s investigation. But, more importantly, to highlight the insanity of New York City’s crime culture and why it happened,” Hegseth pointed out.
But if the big three legacy networks get their way, most Americans won’t have a clue about what really happened.

Top Biden official issued one shocking threat during a press briefing
Joe Biden’s Presidency has been marked by incompetence.
Foreign policy is a particular weakness of the Biden administration.
And a top Biden official issued one shocking threat during a press briefing.
Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan set the tone for his administration’s foreign policy.
It has been defined by missteps and ridiculous statements.
For example, Biden suggested NATO forces would use chemical weapons against Russia in violation of the Geneva conventions.
Biden National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan had to walk back the statement.
Now John Kirby, White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, is threatening members of the press with regard to leaks that purportedly came from the Pentagon.
The documents, which were supposedly prepared for General Mark Milley, have been called the largest security breach since Edward Snowden revealed NSA surveillance.
The leaks pertain to intelligence regarding the war in Ukraine.
Kirby told the press, “[W]ithout confirming the validity of the documents, this is information that has no business in the public domain. It has no business, if you don’t mind me saying, on the pages of — frontpages of newspapers or on television. It is not intended for public consumption, and it should not be out there.”
The journalistic standard is that reporters can publish leaked documents so long as they do not participate in the theft of the leaked material.
But the federal government can make life a living hell for journalists who report information that the administration wants kept under wraps.
Undercover journalist James O’Keefe had his home raided by the FBI because he was given a copy of Ashley Biden’s diary, which contained salacious accusations against her father Joe.
O’Keefe could not authenticate the diary at the time, so he did not publish the story.
The feds raided his home anyway.
It turns out that the diary was true.
Kirby added that “the Justice Department will take it from a criminal investigative procedure. And if — if the Defense Department has to change processes, you know, they’ll — they’ll do that…I would hope every American can understand — that in order to protect this country every day the way we do, one of the things we have to protect is information, not only the information itself, but the manner in which we glean that information. And so, I think you can understand why everybody is taking this particular set of disclosures very, very seriously.”
Kirby has made it quite clear that reporters could find themselves out in the cold if they publish information the Biden administration does not want out there.
