Since Donald Trump left the White House, Jim Acosta hasn’t been doing well.

Yelling at Trump during press briefings was the only reason he got any attention.

And now he’s furious after Trump supporters chanted two words to his face.

Over the weekend, thousands of conservatives gathered in Orlando, Florida for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

The attendees overwhelmingly showed their support for Donald Trump, with a strong majority voting for him in their 2024 election straw poll.

But among this fiercely pro-Trump crowd were fake news figures like Jim Acosta.

Considering that Acosta’s fame has come almost entirely from antagonizing Trump, he wasn’t given the warmest welcome.

When he walked through the event, a massive crowd formed around him chanting “CNN sucks,” and “fake news.”

Acosta clearly wasn’t welcome, which isn’t surprising considering he has spent the past four years attacking the very people who attend CPAC.

Along with being inundated with chants, he was also faced with uncomfortable questions.

Moments after the chants broke out, he was faced with questions from a reporter with the Federalist about the network’s coverage of Democrat New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

With Cuomo facing a number of scandals, the network hasn’t spent much time talking about him, despite spending the past year talking about him virtually every day, painting him as the U.S. authority on coronavirus.

Acosta was asked, “when are you guys going to start covering Cuomo.”

When the fake news reporter refused to answer it, the Federalist reporter continued hammering him.

“He killed 10,000 people, and he’s accused of sexual assault,” the reporter said.

“And you guys wanna talk about Ted Cruz.”

“We are covering it. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Acosta responded.

“You’re not,” the reporter fired back.

“Okay. Well, we agree to disagree,” Acosta said.

“We don’t agree to disagree. You’re not covering Cuomo,” the reporter accurately said.

While it is true that CNN has covered Cuomo’s scandals, they have spent very little time compared to the amount of time they spent elevating him over the last year.

Over the last year, they allowed Cuomo to appear on air with his brother and CNN host Chris Cuomo for softball interviews.

And the network has aired his news conferences in place of then-President Trump’s news conferences on coronavirus.

The walls are closing in on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Multiple allegations of sexual harassment are threatening to bring him down.

And now Chris Cuomo went on CNN and made a jaw-dropping confession about Andrew Cuomo’s sex scandal.

Chris Cuomo addressed the elephant in the room on Monday night.

Cuomo claimed he could not cover the multiple allegations of sexual harassment against his brother because of a conflict of interest, but that CNN was sure to cover the growing scandal extensively.

“Let me say something that I’m sure is very obvious to you who watch my show . . . Obviously I’m aware of what’s going on with my brother. And obviously I cannot cover it because he is my brother. Now, of course, CNN has to cover it. They have covered it extensively and they will continue to do so. I have always cared very deeply about these issues and profoundly so. I just wanted to tell you that,” Cuomo claimed.

Many saw this as a total cop out.

They remembered last spring when Chris Cuomo would have Andrew Cuomo on nearly every night for a comedy act where Chris Cuomo mockingly waived around giant q tip swabs and called Andrew the “love guv.”

But last year, the media needed Andrew Cuomo to hold up as the example of a straight talking leader in the middle of the pandemic to use as a foil for Donald Trump.

Now that Trump is out of office, the media and the Left in general has little to no use for Cuomo.

That’s why many of these scandals are breaking now.

CNN cannot call itself a new organization if it was ok for Chris Cuomo to interview Andrew Cuomo when it was politically useful, but now that the tide has shifted, Cuomo’s relation to Andrew Cuomo eliminates any ability to objectively cover the story.

CNN hosts and reporters gleefully warred with the Trump administration and family over the last four years.

Americans were wondering if CNN would ever act like a news organization again instead of the rapid response arm of the Democrat Party.

And now one CNN host had this jaw-dropping response to what Donald Trump Jr. said about him.

During his speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference, Donald Trump Jr. mocked CNN’s Brian Stelter, claiming that if Hasbro really wanted a gender neutral Mr. Potato head they just could have put a picture of Stelter’s face on the toy.

The crowd laughed because in online circles Stelter is nicknamed “Tater” by many on the Right.

Stelter responded on his Sunday show, Reliable Sources, where Stelter claimed he drafted numerous “cutting” responses to Trump Jr. but he decided not to engage calling the story a “distraction.”

“[I] thought of some really cutting responses, some really clever ways to respond, some way to go viral, but then I stopped,” Stelter continued. “I didn’t post anything. It was just another distraction. He wanted me to respond. This was just more B.S. fuel for the culture war, and it does not matter. The best thing we can do for each other in this world of tweetstorms is to refuse to be confused by that noise. It’s to refuse to be distracted. There is too much real news going on. There’s no time for Potato Heads.”

Stelter claimed that “culture war” issues are what the Right waves around to take the public’s eye off the news.

In fact, the opposite is true.

Stelter – who is CNN’s chief media correspondent – is instructing the press to ignore culture war stories to deprive the American people of the knowledge of just how radically the Left plans to remake American life.

Hasbro trying to make Mr. Potato Head gender neutral is part of a push of the Left to eliminate the concept of gender and wreck the American family.

Stelter doesn’t want the press to tell the public these types of stories because the American people would know what the Left truly has in store.
