Jon Stewart asked one question about the Constitution that will leave you in stunned silence

Jon Stewart’s Apple show was a turkey.

But he somehow fell back into his Comedy Central gig.

And Stewart asked one question about the Constitution that will leave you in stunned silence.

The Problem with Jon Stewart was canceled on Apple+ after poor ratings and Jon Stewart’s insistence on telling stories critical of China.

Apple and other Big Tech corporations are beholden to the vast Chinese market.

After leaving his Apple show, Stewart was invited back to Comedy Central as an executive producer of The Daily Show.

In addition to his role as EP, Stewart agreed to guest-host one show per week.

And Stewart has slid comfortably back into his role as a spokesman of left-wing values.

That pesky Constitution

Stewart recently had Harvard professor Steven Levitsky on the show to promote his new book, “Tyranny of the Minority.”

Democrats and their media allies continue to fear-monger about the end of democracy if Donald Trump were to be re-elected.

The Left openly talks about the Constitution being “problematic,” and in that vein, Stewart asked his guest, “So how– when you– tell me about how we got into the mess. The Constitution is really our, you know, touchstone. Is that the document that actually got us into this mess?”

According to Stewart, the Constitution created the “mess” that the country is currently in.

The left-wing outrage mob increasingly view the Constitution as a hindrance to their radical agenda.

Far-left legal commentator Elie Mystal went so far as to say the Constitution was “trash.”

While many on the Left agree with Mystal, few are willing to say it so bluntly.

Levitsky answered, “The Constitution, as you say, is a brilliant document…It is the world’s oldest written Constitution. It’s done us a lot of good…But it is also part of the problem today. We, a majority of Americans, support democracy. A majority of Americans support the really interesting experiment with multiracial democracy that we are evolving into in the 21st century. A majority of Americans every day since Donald Trump came down the golden escalator have opposed Trump. But we have a Constitution that protects, that enables, and that empowers an authoritarian minority party, and that’s a problem.”

Dissent as a crime

The Left believe that opposition to them is “authoritarian.”

Meanwhile, Joe Biden is the one locking up his political opponents.

For example, Douglass Mackey was sentenced to seven months in prison for tweeting a joke.

Trump was already President for four years, and democracy did not end.

And recent polls show that Trump leads Biden.

But Democrats always seek to change the rules of the Constitution whenever they are losing.

Stephen Colbert brought on a left-wing historian to fear-monger about one landmark Supreme Court case

Democrats and their media allies know Joe Biden is a weak candidate.

He cannot run on his record.

So, Stephen Colbert brought on a left-wing historian to fear-monger about one landmark Supreme Court case.

Joe Biden is deteriorating by the minute, which means that Democrat-controlled media outlets have to pick up the slack.

That’s why Stephen Colbert invited Lyndon Johnson biographer Doris Kearns Goodwin onto his show to fear-monger about abortion rights being taken away.

The Notorious DKG

First, Goodwin waxed poetic about the Johnson administration and the Great Society, saying, “It was incredible. Medicare, Medicaid, aid to education, immigration reform, civil rights, voting rights, NPR, PBS. It was amazing. Amazing.”

Never mind that the Great Society is bankrupting the country and it achieved none of its goals.

Also, NPR seems to be in utter collapse for deep ideological bias.

Colbert said that the achievements of the Great Society “are actively being attempted to be dismantled right now, with some success, including the Voting Rights Act. What do you think, first of all, your husband, Dick, and as you reflect, what would you say is being lost in the dismantling of that vision? Because it was at a very important time, a time of great change in the United States and not everybody likes the changes that happened, but what do you think is being lost?”

Goodwin responded, “I would love young people to remember what it was like because young people felt power then by the conviction they can make a difference in what that meant was that tens of thousands of people were marching for civil rights, for ending segregation, for the voting rights, which is now being denied, for women’s rights, which are now being denied, for gay rights, which are now being denied. The only way we are going to get them back is not by looking for heroes, not looking for leaders. We have to do it ourselves and you young people are so important in that goal.”

The end of everything

This is the Democrats’ tactic in a nutshell: lie that people’s right to the franchise is being denied.

“Gay rights” are not being denied; Christian baker Jack Phillips has been harassed in court for a decade for opting not to bake a cake for a gay wedding and a gender transition party on religious grounds.

Democrats are going all-in on Roe v. Wade being overturned.

They have convinced a generation of women that they had a Constitutional right to kill a baby in the womb, which was false.

Blue states like California and New York still have barbaric abortion policies, but other states have made moves to restrict it.

One state-run media outlet was busted for being even more biased than you could ever imagine

Published

on

So-called mainstream media outlets are heavily tilted to the Left.

The outfits that claim to be down-the-middle are some of the worst offenders.

And one state-run media organization is even more biased than you thought.

Former National Public Radio (NPR) CEO Ken Stern wrote a 2017 book called Republican Like Me where he left his “liberal bubble” in Washington, D.C., and lived like a right-winger for a year.

He learned that he was wrong about gun control laws and job-killing energy policies.

Stern reclassified himself as an independent after his experience.

Since Stern’s tenure at NPR, the outlet has gotten even more biased to the Left, so says senior business editor Uri Berliner.

The 25-year NPR veteran wrote a piece for The Free Press that detailed shocking levels of bias in the newsroom.

Infinitely biased

Berliner wrote, “Concerned by the lack of viewpoint diversity, I looked at voter registration for our newsroom. In D.C., where NPR is headquartered and many of us live, I found 87 registered Democrats working in editorial positions and zero Republicans. None.”

It’s impossible to imagine a news organization, which is taxpayer-funded, to be balanced when there’s an 87-0 editorial blowout.

Berliner continued, “When I suggested we had a diversity problem with a score of 87 Democrats and zero Republicans, the response wasn’t hostile. It was worse. It was met with profound indifference. I got a few messages from surprised, curious colleagues. But the messages were of the ‘oh wow, that’s weird’ variety, as if the lopsided tally was a random anomaly rather than a critical failure of our diversity North Star.”

Leftists are so ensconced in their echo chambers that they don’t even realize it.

Famed New Yorker film critic Pauline Kael said after the landslide 1972 presidential election, “I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them.”

Similarly, Berliner’s NPR colleagues don’t know anyone who voted Republican, but they can “feel them.”

Berliner’s attempts at viewpoint diversity ultimately fell on deaf ears.

Shedding listeners

He said that that is why NPR has fallen out of favor with half the country.

Berliner added, “Back in 2011, although NPR’s audience tilted a bit to the Left, it still bore a resemblance to America at large. Twenty-six percent of listeners described themselves as conservative, 23 percent as middle of the road, and 37 percent as liberal. By 2023, the picture was completely different: only 11 percent described themselves as very or somewhat conservative, 21 percent as middle of the road, and 67 percent of listeners said they were very or somewhat liberal. We weren’t just losing conservatives; we were also losing moderates and traditional liberals.”

NPR has become a haven of “woke” progressivism where even moderates are no longer welcome.

Other outlets are going through the same thing, but nobody is there to speak up about it.
