O'Neill is not some guy with a podcast and an opinion.
He is the man credited with putting two bullets in Osama bin Laden's skull during the 2011 raid on Abbottabad.
He has survived more firefights than most Americans will ever read about.
So when Newsmax asked him directly what bothers him most about the investigation into Charlie Kirk's death, his answer carried weight.
"I've never seen a shirt move like that, that looks like an explosion to me," O'Neill said.
He was careful to frame it as a gut reaction, not a formal accusation.
O'Neill insisted he wasn't alleging a cover-up or a specific conspiracy.
But he made clear his instincts, built over a career of real gunfights, are screaming that something about the official version doesn't track.
O'Neill also zeroed in on how the scene was handled in the chaotic seconds after Kirk went down.
He said people on the ground seemed more focused on grabbing camera equipment than on helping a dying man.
That detail has stuck with him just as much as the wound itself.

O'Neill isn't the only person still asking hard questions about how Charlie Kirk died.
Charlie Kirk's own widow has spent months trying to shut the door on speculation about her husband's death.
Erika Kirk has said flatly she has no interest in ever speaking to accused shooter Tyler Robinson.
"I have nothing to say to him," Kirk said.
She has publicly forgiven Robinson while making clear forgiveness does not mean she has stopped wanting justice.
That same tension has put her at odds with Candace Owens, once a close friend of her husband, who has spent months claiming Israel was somehow involved in his death and that he was betrayed by people close to him.
The rift between the two women became public and ugly before they sat down together for hours to hash things out privately.
O'Neill isn't chasing any of that.
He isn't naming foreign governments or claiming a wider plot.
He's looking at one piece of video and saying the physics don't add up.
Meanwhile, prosecutors have spent a full week in a Provo courtroom laying out their case against Robinson.
They pointed to campus surveillance footage, the recovered rifle carrying his DNA, and text messages they say amount to a confession.
Robinson faces six felony charges, including aggravated murder, and has not yet entered a plea.
Prosecutors are pushing for the death penalty, and Judge Tony Graf will decide soon whether the case moves to a full trial.

Why This Won't Go Away
Here's what fires people up about this one.
You have CNN and NPR spending a full week hyping every piece of prosecution evidence like the case was already closed.
And you have a decorated Navy SEAL sniper saying the footage doesn't match anything he's ever seen in real combat.
That's not a random internet crank with a theory.
That's a guy with more credibility on gunshots than any anchor renting a chair on cable news.
When someone with that resume says a shooting looked shady, conservatives are allowed to ask why the answer is always "just trust us."
Erika Kirk wants the questions to stop.
Candace Owens won't stop asking them.
Rob O'Neill just told Newsmax he can't stop thinking about them either.
The trial hasn't even started, and the country still doesn't agree on what everyone watched with their own eyes.
