USA Today got caught red handed doing exactly what so-called “journalists” claim they never do

The corporate-controlled press has destroyed its reputation.

Their all-out assault against Donald Trump was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

And USA Today got caught red handed doing exactly what so-called “journalists” claim they never do.

Fake News has become a massive problem over the past six years, especially when the greatest purveyors of Fake News are establishment, corporate-controlled media institutions.

And USA Today was forced to fire a reporter after she got caught fabricating quotes.

“After receiving an external correction request, USA Today audited the reporting work of Gabriela Miranda,” USA Today confessed. “The audit revealed that some individuals quoted were not affiliated with the organizations claimed and appeared to be fabricated. The existence of other individuals quoted could not be independently verified.”

“In addition, some stories included quotes that should have been credited to others,” the outlet continued. “As a result, USA Today removed 23 articles from its website and other platforms for not meeting our editorial standards… Miranda has resigned as a reporter for USA Today and the USA Today Network.”

“We strive to be accurate and factual in all our content and regret this situation,” USA Today concluded.

Trust in the media has nosedived in recent years, and stories like this are precisely why.

Democrats try to blame the lost trust in corporate-controlled media on President Trump’s attacks on the press, but as evidenced by USA Today’s Gabriela Miranda, the press does not need any help lighting its credibility on fire.

And while Miranda’s journalistic crime is so blatant and public, there are many other reporters who could suffer a similar ignominious fate.

The Washington Post has been caught several times stealth-editing stories, including one instance in which an entire passage from a puff piece on Vice President Kamala Harris was removed in order to burnish her image.

In the deleted passage, Harris mocked prisoners that she had locked up in California who were begging for water.

The Post also doxxed an anonymous Twitter user who runs the “Libs of TikTok” account, edited the article, and then claimed it never revealed the account holder’s personal information.

CNN reporters were also forced to resign after spreading Fake News about short-lived Trump White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.

The list of journalistic malpractice since the dawn of the Trump era is endless.

The USA Today scandal is a sobering and important reminder that the corporate-controlled press has lost the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reportage.

They have to gain back the trust of the American people, but they are not going to do that with such nakedly partisan coverage.
