Donald Trump did a lot of sorting in the Republican Party in 2016.

He exposed many of the frauds and grifters.

And now one Never Trumper has just snipped his credibility with an alarming statement in the NYT that he’ll never recover from.

Donald Trump became a permanent enemy of the D.C. establishment in February 2016 during the South Carolina GOP primary.

Trump told Jeb Bush that his brother lied the country into the Iraq War, effectively painting Bush and the neocons as warmongers.

Prior to that moment, even king neocon Bill Kristol wrote favorably of Trump, suspecting Trump might have been a security hawk.

From that moment forward, Kristol and the neocons have attacked Trump with every weapon in their arsenal.

Kristol even recruited former National Review writer David French to launch a third party run in 2016 to siphon votes away from Trump and hand the election to Hillary Clinton, who would reliably bomb whichever country the neocons wanted.

French withdrew his name from consideration but became one of the leaders of the Never Trump movement.

Unsurprisingly, French now writes for the New York Times, and like so many of the other Never Trump warmongers, he has reversed almost all of his positions, except war; in fact, French recently promoted an article at Commentary Magazine that defended the Iraq War.

French has effectively bent the knee to the “woke” Left on a number of issues, particularly “gender-affirming” butchery on children.

French wrote in a recent Times column, “Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas issued a directive to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate as ‘abuse’ both surgical and pharmaceutical interventions for transgender children, regardless of the good faith and desires of the parents, children and caregivers involved. To understand the gravity of the state interference with parental authority, it’s worth remembering the words of Chief Justice Warren Burger in the 1972 case Wisconsin v. Yoder, in which he wrote that the ‘primary role of the parents in the upbringing of their children is now established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition.’ To simply presume that parents are abusive because they may dissent from state consensus on transgender care is to violate this principle of American law.”

First, French doesn’t seem similarly outraged about parents losing custody of their children for not “gender-affirming” or psychologists being threatened with loss of licensure for the same reason.

Nevertheless, he apparently does believe that parents having genitalia altering surgery and hormone manipulations performed on their children – what he terms “transgender care” – is somehow equivalent to the Amish parents that Justice Burger wrote of who took their kids out of government schools. 

At least he does now that he works for the New York Times.

French was singing a different tune about transgenderism not that long ago.

In 2019, French called Drag Queen Story Hour a “blessing of liberty,” but in 2016 during the transgender bathroom controversy, French wrote in National Review, “North Carolina’s lawsuit represents a direct challenge to the notion that the EEOC can amend federal law merely by changing its ‘interpretation.’ It also challenges the very idea that requiring people to use bathrooms that correspond with their biological sex represents sex discrimination. The Obama administration credulously buys the notion that a man in a dress or a man who has been surgically mutilated is now a ‘woman,’ and it seeks to enforce that notion with the full power of the federal government. AS I said before, quack science meets quack law, and the Constitution is the casualty.”

French dismissed transgenderism as “quick science” and mocked the idea that a “surgically mutilated” man could become a woman.

A reader took exception with French’s words and wrote, “The phrase ‘surgically mutilated’ both mischaracterizes sex reassignment surgery & shows your inherent transphobia.”

French responded, “Mutilation is still mutilation, even when done with a scalpel. So very sad.”

 Conservatives have often been criticized as leftists simply driving the speed limit.

When people like Kristol and French were considered at the forefront of thought on the American Right for so long, it’s easy to see how America has been overtaken by “wokeness.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has been disastrous at her job.

She makes people actually miss the days of Jen Psaki.

And Jean-Pierre told one lie that Tucker Carlson made her pay for.

The Democrats are in full-blown panic mode over Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

The primetime host uses his highest-rated cable news show to demolish the lies told by the D.C. establishment.

Recently, Carlson has gone after the narrative that  January 6 was an armed insurrection orchestrated by Donald Trump to overthrow American democracy.

The claim was always absurd, but it has been made even more absurd since Carlson released never-before-seen security footage from that day.

Now Carlson just caught White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre telling a lie about  January 6.

Jean-Pierre perpetuated the falsehood that the Capitol Hill riot was the worst attack on American democracy.

Jean-Pierre said, “The wide range of bipartisan lawmakers, you heard them all yesterday, you guys reported on it, who have condemned this false depiction of the unprecedented violent attack upon our Constitution and the rule of law, which cost police officers their lives.”

But Jean-Pierre and other Democrats have completely dropped the George Floyd riots from their memory.

On May 29th, 2020, far-Left rioters burned a historic church across from the White House and attacked the White House barrier itself.

According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), 114 officers were assaulted on  January 6, but even more were injured on May 29th, 2020.  

Carlson said, “Burning a church across from the White House. Those are the George Floyd riots. What was the toll there? Now, we’re not going to guess. We’re going to go again right to the government, according to a recently released GAO report last month. During those attacks, the 2020 attack on the White House by left wing mobs, ‘Federal Protective Services, the Secret Service and the Park Police reported that at least 180 officers were injured during the demonstrations, including concussions, lacerations, exposure to chemical gas and severe burning.’”

And that’s just one attack in one city in one night.

The George Floyd riots lasted for months, spanned the country, killed dozens of people, and caused over $2 billion in property damage.

The Democrats are desperate for people to forget about the George Floyd riots because they explode the narrative that  January 6 was an “unprecedented” attack on the country.

Former Biden administration communications chief Jen Psaki landed a major coup, according to a recent announcement.

The former White House Press Secretary became something of a minor celebrity sparring with the press and avoiding questions.

Now Americans are finding the kind of payday the former Biden regime spin doctor is cashing in on with the launch of Inside with Jen Psaki.

Jen Psaki made a deliberate decision to exit the White House when her star couldn’t be any brighter in the eyes of media elites.

And while she faced criticism early last year for continuing to serve as press secretary even as it became abundantly obvious she was about to jump ship and join one of the organizations making up the White House press corps, the move likely helped ensure she’d capitalize big time in terms of earning potential.

The Democrat was reportedly heavily courted by corporate-controlled media outlets even before she left her post and ultimately signed on as an MSNBC contributor.

It was a fitting choice for a former employee of the most leftist presidential administration in American history as she joined numerous other far-Left political pundits at the network.

Over the past decade plus MSNBC has become known for its leftist coverage with even Salon noting in 2011 that “MSNBC’s prime-time lineup is now awash in progressive politics.”

Now Psaki is already enjoying a sweet promotion.

NBC Universal announced that the beltway insider will now host her own show.

Inside with Jen Psaki will premiere on March 19.

The noon hour show will supposedly include a segment that will, “pull back the curtain on the everyday lives of notable lawmakers and influential thought leaders.”

According to the network, Psaki will also “break down and make sense of the most complex public policy discussions happening in the Nation’s Capital from the debt ceiling to the political campaign trail to the war in Ukraine and more.”

Psaki, a veteran of both John Kerry and Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, stood in as Joe Biden’s press secretary for the first 16 months of his presidency.

The experienced spin doctor has been trying to shut down critics concerned about her partisan influence, in the wake of her new show launching less than a year after leaving the White House.

“I’m very conscious of the fact that people know who I am because I was standing behind a podium speaking on behalf of Joe Biden,” Psaki told a New York Times reporter during an interview to promote her new gig. “I am not going to gratuitously attack him, nor am I going to gratuitously applaud him.”

While Psaki is distancing herself from her former employer, that doesn’t necessarily signal a commitment to balanced coverage.

Which may not be too surprising considering numerous left-wing thought leaders in the corporate-control media and political sphere are reportedly eyeing other possible candidates for the Democrats’ 2024 presidential ticket.

No matter what happens in the next few years, it looks like “circle back” Psaki found the perfect way to line her pockets while staying out of the fray.
