Pope Francis apologized for one comment that left everyone speechless

Pope Francis constantly gets showered with praise by the media.

They tend to be friendly with the Pope because he mirrors their leftist values.

But Pope Francis apologized for one comment that left everyone speechless.

Pope Francis comes from the Jesuit order, which tends to be oriented toward liberation theology, a marriage of biblical teaching with Marxism.

That is why the Democrat-controlled media tend to treat Pope Francis warmly while more traditional-oriented popes get different treatment.

Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI did not get the same friendly coverage from the media.

For example, when Benedict XVI died in 2022, the pejorative nickname “God’s rottweiler” was constantly used by the press.

Pope Francis in hot water

However, Pope Francis recently got in hot water for allegedly using an anti-gay slur.

The Vatican issued an apology for Pope Francis reportedly using the word “f*ggotry” to describe behavior going on inside seminaries.

The Italian press reported that two bishops at the meeting heard Pope Francis use the vulgar term “frociaggine.”

The Holy See Press Office released a statement that read, “Pope Francis is aware of the articles that came out recently about a conversation, behind closed doors, with the bishops of CEI (Italian Episcopal Conference). As he said on several occasions, ‘In the Church there is room for everyone, for everyone! No one is useless, no one is superfluous, there is room for everyone. Just as we are, everyone.’ The Pope never intended to offend or express himself in homophobic terms, and he extends his apologies to those who felt offended by the use of a term, reported by others.”

The comments came after Pope Francis recently conducted a softball interview with CBS.

The Italian outlet Dagospia reported that the Pope said that “in the Church, there is too much of an atmosphere of f*ggotry.”

The outlet added that Pope Francis said that the bishops must “get all the queers [checche] out of the seminaries, even those only semi-oriented.”

Other outlets reported the incident slightly differently.

Adnkronos reported that the Pope declared, “There is a culture today of homosexuality such that those who have a homosexual orientation are better off not being accepted” into the seminary because “it is very difficult for a boy who has this tendency not to fall afterwards because they come thinking that the priest’s life can sustain them, but then they fall in the exercise of the ministry.”

Catholicism in conflict with Progressivism

The comments from Pope Francis were particularly shocking because he has been vague about the Church’s stance toward same-sex marriage.

The press triumphantly reported that Pope Francis blessed same-sex marriages in violation of Catholic doctrine, but he clarified that individuals could be blessed, but not the same-sex unions themselves.

Pope Francis, however, has held firm on the Catholic Church’s stance on abortion.

He previously stated, “First question: is it okay to eliminate a human life to solve a problem? Second question: is it okay to hire a hitman to solve a problem? … Last century, the whole world was scandalized by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves.”
