Jen Psaki called one shocking audible on her book to rescue Biden’s campaign

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is pulling triple duty on behalf of Joe Biden.

She has defended him as comms director, MSNBC host, and now author.

And Psaki called one shocking audible on her book to rescue Biden’s campaign.

Joe Biden’s approval numbers never recovered after his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 U.S. service members dead.

Biden’s military inexplicably abandoned the strategic outpost of Bagram Airfield and instead chose to evacuate the country at the smaller and less secure Kabul International Airport.

Checking his watch

When the fallen service members were honored during a ceremony, Biden got caught looking at his watch multiple times.

But former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki did not truthfully recount that story.

Axios reported that “Psaki claims in her new book that President Biden never looked at his watch during the ceremony for soldiers killed during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 — contradicting news photos and firsthand accounts of Gold Star families.”

Psaki wrote that there had been “misinformation” orchestrated to make “[Biden] appear insensitive,” and claimed that “the president looked at his watch only after the ceremony had ended. Moments later, he and the First Lady headed toward their car.”

Psaki’s account was far different from the Gold Star families who were there.

Mark Schmitz, the father of Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, testified before Congress in August of 2023 that “while I stood there on the tarmac watching you check your watch over and over again, all I wanted to do was shout out, ‘It’s two f***ing thirty, asshole.’”

The day after the ceremony, Shana Chappell, the mother of Marine Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui wrote on Facebook: “I watched you disrespect us all 5 different times by checking your watch!!! What the f*** was so important that you had to keep looking at your watch????”

Psaki changing the book

In light of getting called out, Psaki was forced to edit the book.

She said in a statement that the “detail in a few lines of the book about the exact number of times he looked at his watch will be removed in future reprints and the ebook.”

Not only did Biden constantly check his watch, he fell back on the off-putting habit of invoking his dead son Beau when speaking with family members who lost their sons and daughters.

While describing the sentiments of departed Marine Rylee McCollums’s family, The Washington Post reported that Biden “brought up his son, Beau, according to her account, describing his son’s military service and subsequent death from cancer. It struck the family as scripted and shallow, a conversation that lasted only a couple of minutes in ‘total disregard to the loss of our Marine,’ [sister] Roice said.”

Democrats and their media allies have gone out of their way to portray Biden as a kind grandfather figure, but his actions suggest something different.

For years, Biden refused to acknowledge one of his grandchildren; Hunter Biden did not want the daughter he had out of wedlock to carry the Biden name.

  • QUICK POLL: Are the 2020 polls rigged?

This time in 2016, FiveThirtyEight – the mainstream media’s favorite stats nerds – gave Hillary Clinton an 85% chance of winning the White House.

Now, they’re saying Biden is polling better than Hillary Clinton at her peak.

With the media doing everything possible to torpedo Trump’s odds, do you think they’d put their thumb on the scales of the polls?
