CNN is in complete shambles.
New management at the company is already dissatisfied with the operation.
And one former Fox News host who jumped ship to CNN just realized he made a colossal mistake.
It takes a certain level of arrogance or stupidity or both to leave the number one cable news channel for the fledgling streaming service of the number three cable news channel.
Host Chris Wallace did exactly that, and it appears as though he’s already regretting his decision.
Streaming service CNN+ is already shaping up to be a failure—budget and staffing cuts are reportedly on deck—and Wallace is supposedly not handling the chaos well.
Jon Nicosia, former managing editor of Mediaite, reported, “SOURCE: Chris Wallace is ‘having daily breakdowns’ over the ‘miserable launch’ of CNNplus. Wants a ‘CNN show or is threatening to walk’ they go on. ‘He is having staffers count how many times a day his promo is playing.’”

Wallace certainly has cause for concern.
CNN+ has already slashed its subscription prices in half in order to inflate subscriber numbers, but the gambit hasn’t worked.
CNBC reported that “fewer than 10,000 people are using CNN+ on a daily basis two weeks into its existence, according to people familiar with the matter. The people spoke with CNBC on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss nonpublic data. CNN+ launched on March 29. The subscription news streaming service, which charges $5.99 a month or $59.99 annually, only became available on Roku on Monday and still isn’t on Android TV. Still, the paltry audience casts doubt on the future of the application following the recently completed combination of Discovery and WarnerMedia into Warner Bros. Discovery.”
Wallace took a swipe at Fox News out the door.
He explained, “I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion…But when people start to question the truth — Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable.”
CNN+’s business model appears to be even more unsustainable.
Nicosia’s source also relayed, “He’s telling anyone that will listen he wants Cuomo’s old time slot.”
Wallace’s departure from Fox News makes sense.
If he’s deluded enough to believe that CNN stands for truth, then it becomes understandable how he reasoned himself into thinking CNN+ was a shrewd career move.
Chris Wallace uttered these five words after hearing about CNN’s massive failure
CNN is a leaky boat taking on water.
The network has been mired in scandal.
And Chris Wallace uttered these five words after hearing about CNN’s massive failure.
Since Discovery Media merged with Warner Bros and took control of CNN, new management has not at all been impressed with the network.
Discovery board chairman John Malone even said he wanted CNN to be more like Fox News in terms of having straight news counterbalanced with opinion shows.
So it was no surprise when new leadership pulled the plug on the network’s streaming service CNN+ only 23 days after the service launched.
Former ESPN host Jemelle Hill has been booted from another venture, and former NBA player Rex Chapman, who’s an insufferable leftist on Twitter, will also see his show canceled.
But people are particularly interested in the fate of former Fox News host Chris Wallace, who defiantly exited the right-leaning network for CNN+.
When asked about his next move, Wallace said, “I am going to be fine.”
But Wallace’s attempt at nonchalance belies his manic demeanor during the last days of the streaming service.
Wallace was reportedly barking at people to keep him updated on the service’s abysmal viewer numbers.
Wallace also grumbled that he wanted a CNN show if the streaming service went under.
Thus far, there has been no announcement from CNN if they plan to give him a cable show.
Wallace’s move from prominent news anchor on Fox News to afterthought casualty on CNN+ was a terrible miscalculation on his part.
On the way out the door, Wallace said his time at Fox News became “unsustainable” because his views differed from the opinion hosts.
Now it’s time to see if the Democrats who applauded him will give him a soft landing.
After news of CNN+’s collapse, Wallace also said in an interview, “I’m in good shape, whether it’s at CNN or someplace else…I think you’re seeing a lot of the anchors at CNN Plus doing everything they can do to protect the people that were working on their team, and to make sure they either get a safe landing at CNN or someplace else.
That has yet to be seen.
CNN+ was not exactly a fount of news talent.
Wallace also gave his reasons for the streamer’s failure, explaining, “When I came over to CNN Plus, there were some very smart people, from [former network president] Jeff Zucker to [former WarnerMedia chief executive] Jason Kilar, on down, who were saying that the future of cable news was in great jeopardy, because of the fact that you’re seeing people unbundle…The idea was that you’ve got to a get a foothold in the streaming world…Two weeks ago, streaming was king…and, suddenly, streaming is in an ICU, on life support…I have absolutely no idea which is right and which is wrong, but the Discovery people are in charge, and so they made the decision.”
Somehow, other streamers have been able to stay afloat.
The key is having content that people want to see, something CNN+ did not figure out.
Chris Wallace just left Fox News for CNN. Now everyone was asking this one question
Chris Wallace shocked viewers on Sunday by announcing he was ending his run at Fox News.
But Wallace’s next career move set off a media earthquake.
Now that Chris Wallace left Fox News for CNN everyone was asking this one question.
On Sunday, news broke that Chris Wallace was leaving Fox News when his contract expired to join CNN.
Specifically, Wallace would become one of the faces of CNN+, the left-wing propaganda network’s new streaming platform.
Many believed Wallace – who is a registered Democrat – would feel more at home on CNN.
And the move also came after John Malone – the majority shareholder of Discovery Media, which just merged with CNN – stated he wanted to see CNN become more like Fox News and get out of the lefty opinion journalism business.
However, Wallace moving to a platform which requires consumers to pay a subscription fee directly to CNN puzzled many.
Among them was radio host Howard Stern.
Stern discussed the move on his Monday radio show and said while he liked Wallace he did not understand the move to a CNN streaming service.
“I always liked Chris Wallace on Fox News,” Stern told listeners.
“I always thought he was a level-headed guy. The guy actually pulled it off,” Stern said. “I used to watch him on Fox News and go, ‘How does he put up with this sh*t?’”
Stern cited CNN’s miniscule audience and wondered how – if CNN could not attract an audience now – the network planned to attract people to directly pay them money to watch their programming.
“I gotta tell ya,” Stern added. “People don’t watch CNN, who the hell is going to pay for CNN+? Are they out of their mind? CNN+, I mean what is that? Regular CNN isn’t enough?”

This liberal Fox News host just admitted a shocking secret that could cost him his job
While Fox News is clearly the better of the big three cable news networks, they have a lot of problems.
Some of their hosts are outright liberals.
And one liberal Fox News host just admitted a shocking secret that could cost him his job.
Chris Wallace has always been one of the more liberal hosts on Fox News, but in the past he has at least been more fair than the hosts on networks like CNN.
That all changed going into the 2020 election.
He began attacking President Donald Trump regularly.
And he infuriated many when he hosted the first presidential debate, where it is widely believed he favored Biden in his questions.
Now that Biden is in office, Wallace has been spending more time attacking Trump than talking about the real issues of the day.
And during a recent appearance on CBS’s The Late Show, he took that to a new level.
Wallace told host Stephen Colbert that he is outright refusing to bring political leaders on his Fox News show if they questioned the 2020 election results.
“Well, there are plenty of people who were the leaders in the Congress challenging it that I just have not had on the show ever since then, and have purposefully not had them on the show, because I don’t frankly want to hear their crap.”
He went on to state that those who he is forced to bring on, like “people in leadership in the Senate,” won’t be allowed to come on without him “putting them through the ringer.”
Wallace went on to claim that Republicans in Congress have “cynically decided” that backing Trump’s election claims is the right move “because of the Trump base,” stating that “they’re gonna say something they know is not true.”
He went on to talk about January 6th, calling it “the worst thing he’s ever seen during his decades-long career as a journalist in Washington, D.C.”
“I’ve been in Washington 40 years, so I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff,” Wallace said. “But nothing like this … as I’m sitting there and watching it live on television and seeing this mob coming to the cathedral of our democracy and sitting in the chair that the president of the senate sits in and running around the rotunda, I was sickened.”
