CNN’s claims of being a news network become harder to take seriously every day.
The network’s programming is filled with over-the-top bias and sloppy journalism.
And now CNN just got slapped with a legal notice by the last person they ever suspected.
CNN – like all corporate-controlled media outlets – attempted to frame the recall effort against California Governor Gavin Newsom as a partisan effort by Trump supporters to remove a Democrat from office.
One way CNN advanced this narrative is with a story claiming no Democrats qualified for the ballot to replace Newsom should voters choose to recall Newsom on September 14.
That was news to YouTube star Kevin Paffrath, who is one of nine Democrats running to replace Newsom.
Paffrath’s lawyers fired off a cease and desist letter to CNN demanding they stop incorrectly reporting about the lack of Democrats on the recall ballot.
Eventually CNN updated the article to note the Democrat Party did not endorse any of the recall candidates.
Fox News reports:
A California Democrat vying to unseat Gov. Gavin Newsom in the upcoming recall election had his lawyers send CNN a cease and desist letter Tuesday after the outlet incorrectly reported that “no Democrats are competing against their own party’s governor.”
Kevin Paffrath, a real estate agent also known as the social media personality Meet Kevin, is one of the 46 candidates vying to replace Newsom as governor in the Golden State. He’s also arguably the most recognizable of nine Democrats in the race.
But a CNN report on the state of the recall race made no mention of him Monday. Roughly an hour and 15 minutes after Fox News requested comment, the article was updated to instead read, “Since no party-backed Democrats are competing against their own party’s governor, the state could end up being run by a Republican” – adding the “party-backed” qualifier.
Polls show the recall effort against Newsom could go either way.
In Deep Blue California, that is a testament to the opposition across the political spectrum to Newsom’s failure to control crime and homelessness as well as the pain Newsom inflicted with school closures and harsh lockdowns.
CNN and the rest of the corporate-controlled media think they can save Newsom’s skin by turning the election into a red vs. blue contest.
But their first attempt ended in humiliating failure.

CNN’s Brian Stelter just received some news that has him sweating bullets
CNN is going through an identity crisis.
Their new corporate bosses are not pleased with the product they inherited.
Now, CNN’s Brian Stelter just received some news that has him sweating bullets.
CNN is undergoing a massive shake-up in the aftermath of Warner Bros. and Discovery completing their merger.
Board member John Malone, who was the largest shareholder in Discovery prior to the merger and allegedly possesses a libertarian streak, has been vocal about his belief that CNN has become too biased.
In fact, Malone recently suggested that he’d like to see CNN become more like Fox News, and strike a better balance between hard news and opinion hosts.
One of the hosts who have been identified as being too biased is Brian Stelter, the network’s supposed media “watchdog,” who not only has a major left-wing bias, but is also not bringing in viewers.
“CNN’s Reliable Sources with left-wing host Brian Stelter had its lowest-rated episode since September 2019 on Sunday when only 580,000 viewers tuned into the struggling program,” Fox News reported. “‘Reliable Sources’ also struggled in the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults age 25-54, averaging only 73,000 viewers from the critical category.”
“Stelter’s program shed 13% of the total audience who tuned into the show that precedes it, ‘Fareed Zakaria GPS,’ and lost 25% of Zakaria’s viewers among the demo,” Fox News continued. “It was Stelter’s smallest audience since Sept. 15, 2019.”
Stelter has been called the “attack dog” of disgraced former CNN president Jeff Zucker, who was run out of the network for lying about a relationship he had with network executive Allison Gollust.
And he even had the audacity to publicly criticize one of his new bosses, Malone, after his contention that CNN was too biased.
Without Zucker to protect him, Stelter has truly put himself on the chopping block.
His low ratings and biased reporting could be the pretext needed to run Stelter out of the network.
For example, CNN’s so-called “media watchdog” refused to comment on the corporate press refusing to cover the assassination attempt against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh with any seriousness.
New CNN president, Chris Licht, already seems to be trying to rein in the network’s radical left-wing hosts.
He recently suggested that they not use the phrase “the big lie” to describe former President Donald Trump’s comments about possible voter fraud in the 2020 election.
Licht’s rationale was that the phrase was a Democrat talking point, which is correct.
According to internal leaks after Zucker’s ouster, several of CNN’s on-air personalities have voiced their frustration about the new direction of the network.
A tiger can’t change his stripes, so CNN will undoubtedly retain its left-wing bias.
It will probably just do so without Stelter.
CNN’s Don Lemon asked a panelist one question and hated the answer he got
The Biden administration is clearly struggling.
And so are the corporate news journalists that are tasked with propping it up.
Now, CNN’s Don Lemon asked a panelist one question and hated the answer he got.
Democrats are beginning to acknowledge the writing on the wall.
Republicans are primed for a big win in the Midterm elections, and Democrats are running out of options to stem the tide.
During a recent CNN panel, CNN contributor Scott Jennings lamented the fact that Republican Mayra Flores flipped a South Texas district with a population that is 84% Hispanic.
“In terms of, like, larger macro political issues right now going on in this country — to me, tonight Texas 34,” Jennings told host Don Lemon. “The movement of the Hispanic voters toward the Republican Party in that part of Texas, to me, is one of the biggest stories of the night. I know it is not quite final yet, but it’s a big deal.”
After Jennings delivered the bad news, Lemon turned to CNN political analyst Kirsten Powers and asked, “What do you make of that? Do you see a trouncing, Kirsten? I think Scott is indicating there is going to be a trouncing of Democrats come midterms. Do you agree with that?”
“Well, I think — that is sort of the expectation, and I think if we look at it given historically — we were all predicting quite some time ago even before Joe Biden’s approval ratings got to the point that they are that Democrats were going to have a hard time because historically that is what happens to the president’s party in the first midterm election,” Powers answered begrudgingly.

It’s beginning to sink in for Democrats that their poll numbers are pathetic, and their fear-mongering tactics have not been successful in changing the tide.
“Sometimes history isn’t always prologue, but my estimate for the 2023 House makeup, if the election were held today, which again, it isn’t, we still have five months, five months from tomorrow, would be Republicans, 236 seats to 241 seats. Democrats, 194 to 199,” CNN data analyst Harry Enten recently explained. “That’s based off a formula of seat-to-seat race ratings from the Cook Political Report and Inside Elections.”
Enten’s analysis was based on a 2-point Republican lead in the generic Congressional ballot, but since then, the GOP’s lead has jumped to 3.5 points.
And unfortunately for Democrats, they don’t seem to be learning any lessons from their historic unpopularity.
CNN’s new boss gave one order that had their left-wing hosts gnashing their teeth
CNN shattered its reputation when it became the Trump Derangement Syndrome network.
Anti-Donald Trump stories drove the network’s coverage for several years.
But CNN’s new boss gave one order that had their left-wing hosts gnashing their teeth.
Disgraced former CNN President Jeff Zucker is out, and the network’s left-wing employees are already resisting the new regime.
The merger between CNN parent company, WarnerBros., and Discovery, Inc. has brought on board leadership that wants to claw back the naked left-wing partisanship on the network.
And CNN’s new boss Chris Licht wants on-air anchors to stop using the phrase “the big lie” in reference to former President Donald Trump’s comments about the 2020 election.
According to a report from Mediaite, “New CNN president Chris Licht discouraged staff from using ‘the big lie’ to refer to former President Donald Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election.”
“On a Tuesday conference call with management and show executive producers, Licht was asked for his thoughts on ‘the big lie,’ and said he preferred that staff avoid the term,” the report continued. “He made clear this was a preference, not a mandate, but staffers have taken it as a clear directive from the new boss.”
“He encouraged producers to instead use the terms ‘Trump election lie’ or ‘election lies’ in banners and graphics,” Mediaite stated. “According to a source, Licht argued that using ‘the big lie’ makes the mistake of adopting branding used by the Democratic Party, thereby weakening the objectivity of the network.”
At least Licht can admit the network has a clear left-wing bias, something every conservative has known for years.
The term “the big lie,” of course, harkens back to Adolf Hilter, which is why the Democrats are so eager to link it to President Trump.
“The term has become ubiquitous on CNN,” Mediaite added. “‘Big lie’ has been mentioned on the network 168 times this month, according to media monitoring service TVEyes. The guidance, which comes as a House select committee holds hearings investigating Trump’s election lies and the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol they inspired, has rankled some at the network.”
This goes to show that there is virtually zero distance between CNN and the Democrat Party.
As one CNN insider revealed, “It’s worrisome that we’re being told how to talk about one of the worst things that ever happened to American democracy. We have to call lies, lies, whether they’re small lies or big lies.”
“Is there any lie bigger than that lie? It seems to indicate where things are headed,” the insider continued. “We didn’t have this problem until John Malone was sitting on the board of this company.”
Malone, a member of Warner Bros. Discovery’s board, previously said he wanted CNN to return to “the kind of journalism that it started with, and actually have journalists.”
Thus far, CNN is not handling the adjustment well.
