Chocolate Heiress Dubbed Lulu Lenin Tried to Justify Socialism With a French Phrase and Got Obliterated

Zohran Mamdani just told wealthy New Yorkers it's time to pay up.

Now a 25 year old DSA heiress proud of her “Lulu Lenin” label decided to lecture the internet on wealth too.

She reached for one word to justify her fortune and it did not go the way she planned.

Grace Ryan is 25 years old.

She graduated from NYU.

She aligns herself with the Democratic Socialists of America.

She also goes by "Lulu Lenin," a nickname that tells you everything you need to know before she even opens her mouth.

Ryan's family built its fortune on Maramor Chocolates, a national brand worth an estimated ten million dollars.

She lives in a rent stabilized studio in Bushwick that runs just over three thousand dollars a month.

She drives a Hummer worth one hundred fifteen thousand dollars.

She dresses in designer clothes while telling the rest of America it needs to redistribute its wealth.

So when critics called her out for preaching socialism from a mansion of privilege, Ryan did not apologize.

She posted on X instead.

"Everyone's trying to dunk on me for being a progressive from a privileged background but like have y'all never heard of noblesse oblige?" she wrote.

"I have a moral obligation to use my advantages to help those who are struggling," she added.

The Internet Reminded Her What Noblesse Oblige Actually Means

Noblesse oblige is a real concept.

It means people born into privilege have an obligation to act generously toward those with less – with their own money, voluntarily, no government required.

Andrew Carnegie practiced it when he built thousands of libraries with his own fortune.

Ryan is demanding something else entirely.

She wants the government to force other people's money out of their pockets while she keeps her family's chocolate empire fully intact.

The replies came fast.

One user shot back that noblesse oblige "involves putting your OWN resources towards helping the less fortunate. Not taxpayers."

Another summed up the whole post in four words: "Marx on noblesse oblige btw lol."

A third pointed out the obvious: "Noblesse oblige" doesn't exactly make you sound like a champion of the people.

Nobody was fooled.

New York Keeps Producing the Same Rich Socialist Every Few Months

This is not a one off.

Mamdani celebrated New York's new tax on second homes worth more than five million dollars this month, and Fox News reported the backlash was immediate.

Senator Mike Lee said never elect a politician who "sees your money as his slush fund."

Ryan is just the latest face of the same script.

Inherit millions, move to Manhattan, join the DSA, then lecture waitresses and construction workers about greed from inside a six figure vehicle.

The French phrase changes.

The hypocrisy never does.

Ryan is not being asked to give up anything of her own.

She wants Congress to redistribute other people's paychecks while her family's chocolate fortune stays untouched.

That is not noblesse oblige.

That is a trust fund kid discovering a fancy word for "somebody else should pay for this."

The internet reminded her that real generosity does not come with a subpoena attached.
