Bill Maher Read One DSA Post Out Loud and Left His Studio Audience Speechless

Zohran Mamdani's socialist takeover of New York City left Democrats scrambling to explain themselves this year.

Friday night, Bill Maher told his own liberal audience that Donald Trump was right about something.

What Maher read to them next made the entire room go dead silent.

DSA's Own Words Do the Talking

Maher used the last segment of Real Time to make a case his network almost never allows on air.

The Democratic Socialists of America are communists, he said, and their own paperwork proves it.

Maher told his audience Trump lies constantly, but not about this.

Maher didn't rely on Fox News talking points to make his case.

He read the DSA's own internal language back to his audience, word for word.

The Marxist Unity Group, a caucus that now holds real power inside the DSA's national leadership, describes its own mission as working to "fight to overthrow the Constitution," according to Capital Research Center.

Its stated endpoint isn't healthcare reform or higher wages.

It's a classless society that the group itself defines in one word: communism.

Maher pointed to Cea Weaver, a top aide to socialist New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and her own social media push urging voters to elect more communist candidates.

The studio audience, stocked with the kind of Hollywood liberals who spent a decade calling Trump a fascist for less, went quiet.

Maher told them he was glad they were shocked.

Mamdani himself has never hidden the source material.

He once posted a direct line from Karl Marx on social media.

Fox News reported a Heritage Foundation fellow called him "absolutely a communist" months before he ever took office.

Maher summed up what his own party has let happen under its nose.

"You know what's being colonized now? The Democratic Party."

Democrats Won't Even Say the Word Capitalist

Maher didn't stop at exposing the DSA.

He turned the same spotlight on his own party's leadership, too scared to say the word "capitalism" out loud.

He cited the "Promise to America" pledge, a centrist declaration built around one blunt line: "We are capitalist, not socialist."

Maher claimed only eight lawmakers had signed it.

The real number is worse for Democrats than even Maher let on.

Newsweek reported ten sitting House Democrats and five candidates have put their names on the pledge.

Out of a House Democratic caucus with more than 200 members, fewer than a dozen were willing to publicly reject socialism.

Maher closed his monologue with a line no HBO host says lightly.

He said he'd sooner vote for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin than any Democrat aligned with the DSA.

He called her a "bimbo" who could still name something she loves about her own country.

Coming from Bill Maher, that isn't a joke.

It's a warning shot fired at his own party's leadership.

The Party Trump Warned About Is the Party Maher Just Described

Trump has called the DSA communists for months, and the criticism got dismissed as hyperbole.

Bill Maher just proved the DSA's own website says otherwise.

The Marxist Unity Group isn't the only faction organizing openly around revolution inside the DSA.

Capital Research Center found the DSA's own international committee has reported interactions with the Chinese Communist Party and runs a working group that campaigns on behalf of Cuba's socialist government.

This isn't some rogue statement from an anonymous account.

It's an official DSA committee, operating in the open, published for anyone to read.

Democratic leadership had every chance to draw that line months ago and chose silence instead.

The rest are betting their seats on primary voters who just handed New York City's mayorship to a self-described socialist.

Bill Maher didn't do this to help Republicans.

He did it because he can see what's coming in November better than the party he still calls home.
