FBI Buried Fourteen Informants On the Bidens and Called It Russian Disinformation Instead

For four years the FBI told America the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation and Twitter throttled it into oblivion before the 2020 election.

Newly declassified documents now show Christopher Wray's FBI ran a secret operation to bury fourteen informants who said the Biden family corruption was real.

They called it Operation Round River, and the paper trail on who got labeled "disinformation" and who got labeled "conduit" will make your blood boil.

Fourteen Informants and One Word That Made It All Disappear

Christopher Wray launched Operation Round River in December 2019, three years before anyone had heard the words "Hunter Biden laptop."

The FBI already had confidential human sources – some on the books since 2015 – handing agents derogatory information on the Biden family's foreign business dealings.

Fourteen separate informants told the FBI the same basic story about Joe Biden's family and Burisma.

Wray's Foreign Influence Task Force didn't investigate it.

They labeled it Russian disinformation and moved on, according to the declassified documents released by the White House Government Transparency Task Force.

A newly recovered spreadsheet from inside that task force reads like an enemies list dressed up as an intelligence product.

Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Kerry and George Soros were all logged as "targets" the FBI needed to protect from disinformation.

Bill Barr and Mike Pompeo – the sitting Attorney General and Secretary of State – were logged as "conduits" spreading it.

Chuck Grassley, Ron Johnson, Lindsey Graham, Devin Nunes and Jim Jordan made the same list, next to Rudy Giuliani, Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo, and Fox News itself.

The FBI wasn't tracking Russian agents – it was tracking United States senators, a sitting cabinet secretary, and the network's evening lineup.

Every American over sixty already knows the shape of this story because they lived through Crossfire Hurricane.

Back then the FBI took a Clinton campaign-funded dossier full of garbage and used it to spy on a sitting president's campaign for years.

Special Counsel John Durham later tore that investigation apart, and Congress spent years proving the "Russia collusion" case was manufactured from the start.

Operation Round River is that same playbook running in reverse.

Where Crossfire Hurricane manufactured a Russia connection to Trump out of nothing, Round River manufactured a Russia disinformation label to make a real Biden corruption trail disappear.

A 2025 Director of National Intelligence review, code-named the DELTA Project, later concluded the Round River team never actually corroborated a single allegation about the Ukraine narrative one way or the other.

They didn't investigate the Bidens and clear them.

They slapped a label on the file and buried fourteen human sources instead.

That is not law enforcement.

That is a bureaucracy protecting a political family three years before an election even happened.

Kash Patel Shuts It Down and Opens the Investigation Wray Never Wanted

FBI Director Kash Patel has already terminated the Foreign Influence Task Force that ran Round River.

Patel is now digging into whether the operation was deployed specifically to choke off legitimate investigations into the Biden family while Christopher Wray sat atop the Bureau.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has been pushing the declassified files into public view and demanding accountability for everyone who signed off on labeling American officials as foreign disinformation conduits.

This lands on top of a House Oversight impeachment inquiry that already spent a year and a half documenting the Biden family's foreign cash before wrapping up in August 2024.

It lands on top of Hunter Biden's own convictions on federal gun and tax charges – crimes his father pardoned him for the moment the political pressure got real.

Every piece the FBI told you not to believe in 2020 just got a federal paper trail behind it.

What This Actually Means for the People Who Ran It

Here is what fires me up about this story most: the FBI didn't just get it wrong, they built an entire task force to make sure Americans never found out they got it wrong on purpose.

Christopher Wray is now a private citizen, and private citizens who signed off on burying fourteen credible informants to protect a presidential candidate have real legal exposure – false statements to Congress, obstruction, and potential violations tied to how those sources were handled.

The network angle here is the one nobody's talking about yet.

Whoever built that spreadsheet had to know exactly who mattered in Republican politics and conservative media in order to list them as "conduits" – Grassley, Jordan, Nunes, Giuliani, Fox News – which means someone inside the Bureau was doing opposition research on the sitting Attorney General's own network.

Expect Grassley and Jordan to demand testimony under oath, and expect Kash Patel's FBI to start pulling every name off that spreadsheet to find out who wrote it and who approved it.

The Russia hoax was never really about Trump.

It was about protecting the Bidens, and Operation Round River just proved it in writing.
